Les Brocards

Par 72 - 6105 metres of back tees

This course, which was designed in 1964 by the famous English architect Fred Hawtree, hides its game well and is not lacking in charm or difficulty. It was also the venue for the French Open in 1979, when a certain Sévériano Balesteros secured second place. For many years, it hosted other international events on the European Tour, most notably in 1993 when the Italian Constantino Rocca set the course record with a round of 63.

Don't be fooled by appearances! This is a course that is not as easy as you might think, with long, very complex Par 3, but also numerous dog-leg holes where you need to know how to place your ball well. In summer, the magnificent fescue rough adds a special dimension, forcing you to think strategically about each shot while playing every club in your bag! The course offers a stroll through a natural setting with a patina of age. Members of the Golf Club de Lyon play this course more regularly than Les Sangliers, so come and find out why...

Les sangliers

Par 72 - 6575 metres of back tees

Created in 1991, this is a true championship course set in a totally natural environment of woodland and water. Extremely varied, this course is a formidable technical and physical challenge. Every golf shot must be mastered in order to perform. Very straightforward, with no blind shots, it is made up of vast greens designed with slight but very subtle slopes that reward the best putters.

The course was conceived and designed by Hugues Lambert, who made excellent use of the meandering Rhône to create enclaves of carefully maintained wildness. Another audacious feature: a panoramic hillock offers spectators an exceptional view of the start or finish of 10 of the 18 holes on the course. Among the events that have been held here are the 2001 French Open won by José Maria Olazabal, the 2005 Gounouilhou, the French Ladies' Amateur Championship in 2010 and 2023, Golfer's 2022 and the French Men's Cup (Trophée Jean Lignel) in 2012.

The course is regularly ranked as one of the finest in France. The creation of 4 new back tees on holes 9, 10, 13 and 16 should, pending a new homologation, enable the total distance to be increased to almost 6,700 metres, a challenge that only very high-level players who come to train regularly at the club, such as the pros Julien Guerrier and Gary Stal, can objectively meet on a daily basis.
